SUMMARY:Wei Jin (Emory University\, Computer Science)
DESCRIPTION:AI Agents in Healthcare: From the Current Landscape to Adaptive Deployment \nAI in healthcare is moving beyond prediction and question answering toward agentic systems that can reason\, use tools\, maintain memory\, and participate in complex workflows. In this talk\, I will first present our recent survey of AI agents in healthcare\, highlighting emerging applications across clinical care\, patient interaction\, biomedical research\, and public health\, as well as key gaps in evaluation and real-world deployment. I will then discuss a broader challenge: healthcare environments evolve over time\, while most agents are designed and evaluated under fixed settings. I will introduce our recent work on adaptive agent deployment for open-ended task streams and discuss what it suggests for building health agents that can adapt over time while remaining under human oversight.
